CCS determines the parent share co pay RSCCC cannot change those amounts determined by the assistance programs.
The Texas Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) helps low-income families afford quality child care while parents work, attend school, or participate in job training. This program is managed by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and administered through local Workforce Development Boards. It provides financial aid to cover a portion of child care costs at approved providers.
Eligibility
To qualify, families must:
- Live in Texas
- Have children under 13 (or under 19 if the child has a disability)
- Meet income requirements based on family size
- Be employed, in school, or in a training program
How to Apply
Find Your Local Workforce Board: Use the TWC website (www.twc.texas.gov) to locate your regional office.
Complete an Application: Apply online through the local workforce board’s website or visit their office in person.
Submit Required Documents: Provide proof of income, employment, school enrollment, and residency.
Wait for Approval: If funds are available, families may receive immediate assistance.
Otherwise, they may be placed on a waitlist.
